Locating Sample Files
[This documentation is for preview only, and is subject to change in later releases. Blank topics are included as placeholders.]
Sample files can be found in several locations. They may be installed together with the product, embedded in Help topics, or available as downloads on the Internet. Installed sample files for each release of Visual Studio are put in folders that are separate from those of other releases so that there will be no conflicts when two or more versions of Visual Studio are installed. If you uninstall Visual Studio, the corresponding sample files are removed.
The default locations for sample files in this release are in the following list. %install% represents the location where Visual Studio is installed, such as \Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\. You can also find samples by clicking Samples on the Help menu in Visual Studio.
Note
Samples for Express editions are only available on the Internet. For more information, see the Download Location column in the table.
