DataSourceConverter.GetStandardValuesExclusive Method (ITypeDescriptorContext)

Gets a value indicating whether the collection of standard values returned from GetStandardValues is a list of all possible values.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.Design
Assembly: System.Design (in system.design.dll)

public:
virtual bool GetStandardValuesExclusive (
	ITypeDescriptorContext^ context
) override
public boolean GetStandardValuesExclusive (
	ITypeDescriptorContext context
)
public override function GetStandardValuesExclusive (
	context : ITypeDescriptorContext
) : boolean

Parameters

context

An ITypeDescriptorContext that can be used to gain additional context information.

Return Value

true if the TypeConverter.StandardValuesCollection returned from GetStandardValues is an exclusive list of all possible values; false if other values are possible. As implemented in this class, this method always returns false.

If the list is exclusive, such as in an enumeration data type, then no other values are valid. If the list is not exclusive, then there are other valid values besides the list of standard values that GetStandardValues provides.

Notes to Inheritors Override this method if the type you want to convert supports standard values. The context parameter can be used to extract additional information about the environment this converter is being invoked from. It might be a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic), so you should always check. Also, properties of the context object may also return a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).
