2.2.5 Simple Types

The following table summarizes the set of common XML schema simple type definitions defined by this specification. XML schema simple type definitions that are specific to a particular operation are described with the operation.

CacheUsage

Specifies how the protocol client accesses EntityInstance data to perform create, read, update and delete operations, when this information is not provided explicitly by means that are beyond this protocol specification. If the protocol client does not have the capability to cache EntityInstance data, the protocol client MUST ignore this value.

char

The char simple type represents a Unicode character.

DirectionType

The DirectionType simple type specifies the direction of an argument represented by a Parameter for a line-of-business (LOB) system operation.

duration

The duration simple type represents a duration.

FilterType

The FilterType simple type specifies the type of the filter represented by the FilterDescriptor.

guid

The guid simple type represents a GUID.

MethodInstanceType

This simple type contains information about the type of a MethodInstance.

PackageContents

Specifies a subset of the types of the data contained by a MetadataModel.

SystemType

The type of line-of-business (LOB) system that an LobSystem is representing.

TypeDescriptorFlags

The TypeDescriptorFlags simple type contains information about the characteristics of the data stored in a data structure represented by a TypeDescriptor.
