Installation Requirements for "Quadrant"

This topic describes system requirements for Microsoft code name “Quadrant”.
Supported Architectures
x86
x64 (using Windows on Windows)
Warning
“Quadrant” does not have an x64 installer, so you must use the x32 installer even on a 64-bit computer. The Windows-on-Windows 64-bit subsystem will facilitate running “Quadrant”.

Hardware Requirements
Minimum: 1.6 GHz CPU, 1 GB RAM
Recommended: 2.2 GHz CPU, 2 GB RAM
Software Requirements
For debugging, deployment, and SQL Server Modeling Services:
Windows Installer 4.5. To run setup, Windows Installer 4.5 is required. If you do not have it installed, setup will not continue. Note that a system reboot is required by Windows Installer. After installing, launch the SQL Server Modeling CTP setup program again.

Visual Studio 2010
SQL Server 2008 SP1 or SQL Server Express 2008 SP1. Creating a repository and installing “Quadrant” requires SQL Server Express 2008 SP1. SQL Server CE is not supported.
