CCF Management Solutions

CCF includes three management components: the CCF Admin Console, the DCS Admin Console, and the CCF Management Pack.

The CCF Admin Console is a Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in. It allows a system administrator to centrally configure all aspects of the ID. The administrator can use it to manage the configuration of agents (clients), agent groups, agent roles, hosted and non-hosted applications, workflows, Web Services, and other parts of CCF. The Admin Console provides data validation in the UI, and uses Web Services on the CCF server to update the CCF database. In addition, it allows central management of client configurations and runtime updates.

For more information about the CCF Admin Console, see the CCF 2009 SP1 Deployment Guide.

The DCS Admin Console allows administrators to control all aspects of service-based communication and DCS business logic. Administrators can use it to deploy services and tasks, add and edit task factory filters, and change discovery-configured instances and the policy for each instance.

For more information about the CCF Admin Console, see the CCF 2009 SP1 Deployment Guide.

The CCF Management Pack monitors business processes and infrastructure services through Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007. It also allows centralized management of CCF infrastructure components through the Microsoft System Center suite.
