MaxLength Property

The MaxLength property of the SPFieldText class gets or sets the maximum number of characters that can be typed in the field.

Property Value

A 32-bit integer that specifies the maximum number of characters.

Remarks

Setting the MaxLength property requires that the Update method be called for changes to take effect in the database.
