The 2007 Microsoft Office SmartArt Developer Reference provides information about developing customized templates for a feature in the 2007 Microsoft Office system called SmartArt. You can develop these templates by writing XML files that define the structure, layout, and formatting of a graphic.

For more information about creating SmartArt graphics from templates, see the Help feature for the particular product in the 2007 Microsoft Office system.

SmartArt graphics are available in Microsoft Office Excel 2007, Outlook 2007, PowerPoint 2007, and Word 2007. PowerPoint 2007 contains some features that are not available in the other programs.
