mlength Attribute
[The feature associated with this page, DirectShow, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine, and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation. Those features have been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Microsoft strongly recommends that new code use MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation instead of DirectShow, when possible. The mlength attribute specifies the duration of a source file. This value must be the actual duration, or rendering errors may occur.

Must be a string with the format hh:mm:ss.ff format, where hh = hours, mm = minutes, ss = seconds, and ff = fractions of seconds. Example: 1:04:30.512. Leading units can be omitted. For example, 3:00 (three minutes) and 45 (45 seconds) are both valid.
