How to Specify the Location of a Log File to the Data Warehouse

This topic provides steps for specifying the location of a log file to the Data Warehouse. You specify a location so that the Data Warehouse can find the log file for the Web site.

To specify the location of a log file to the Data Warehouse

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.

  2. In the IIS 7 Manager console, in the left pane, expand Internet Information Services, expand the server on which you unpacked the site, and then select the default Web site.

  3. In Features View, double-click Logging.

  4. On the Logging page, in the Actions pane, click Enable to enable logging or click Disable to disable logging.

  5. In the Log File section, click Browse to navigate to a directory to store log files or specify the path to the directory.

  6. In the Actions pane, right click Apply.
