Expression.Increment Method (Expression)

Creates a UnaryExpression that represents the incrementing of the expression value by 1.

Namespace:  System.Linq.Expressions

	Expression expression

Parameters

expression
Type: System.Linq.Expressions.Expression

An Expression to increment.

Return Value

Type: System.Linq.Expressions.UnaryExpression
A UnaryExpression that represents the incremented expression.

This expression is functional and does not change the value of the object that is passed to it.

The following code example shows how to create an expression that represents an increment operation.

// Add the following directive to your file: 
// using System.Linq.Expressions;   

// This expression represents an increment operation.  
double num = 5.5;
Expression incrementExpr = Expression.Increment(
                            Expression.Constant(num)
                        );


// Print out the expression.
