4 Protocol Examples

In this section, several sample IMDA operations are presented. First, an identity object is created using a Create operation. Information from that identity object is then retrieved using Get operations. Finally, the object is modified using a Put operation.

For illustrative purposes, the chosen XML representation of identity objects in this section is the XML view of directory objects shown in [MS-ADDM] section 2.3. For the Get and Put examples, the SOAP header defined in [MS-ADDM] section 2.5 are used to specify the object that is the target of the operation.
