3.4.4.1.2.3 ChangeOptionalFeatureRequest/DistinguishedName

The DistinguishedName element contains the distinguished name of the naming context in which to enable/disable the feature.

 <xs:element minOccurs="0" name="DistinguishedName" nillable="true" type="xs:string" />

The DistinguishedName element refers to the directory instance root directory object of the NC ([MS-ADTS] section 6.1.1.1) whose rootDSE disableOptionalFeature or enableOptionalFeature attribute is to be written to. See [MS-ADTS] sections 3.1.1.3.3.27 and 3.1.1.3.3.28. The attribute to write is determined by the ChangeOptionalFeatureRequest/Enable Boolean, while the value to write is determined by the ChangeOptionalFeatureRequest/FeatureId element.

For more information on optional features, see [MS-ADTS] section 3.1.1.9.
