Sections

This trigger executes before the space required for the output section is calculated. Only use this trigger to perform visual processing of the report — not data processing. A key use of this trigger is as a means of determining whether to output a section based on the value of one or more fields or variables.

NoteImportant

Section triggers are not supported on client report definition (RDLC) report layouts.

You can use this trigger to test the value of a specific field and then take an action based on that value. For example, you might want print the record to a report only when the amount does not equal zero.
