Audio Devices

Microsoft Unified Communications Managed API 2.0 Core SDK provides five audio devices, all of which are associated with the AudioVideoFlowAudioVideoFlow class. These devices can be used to record audio, play audio, send and receive telephone keypad tones, using grammars to convert spoken utterances into text, and convert text into speech.


Records the audio stream from an AudioVideoFlow instance to a file. For more information, see Recorder.


Plays the audio stream in a media source by sending it to one or more AudioVideoFlow instances. For more information, see Player.


Generates Dual-Tone Multiple-Frequency (DTMF) tones to send and receive telephone keypad tones. For more information, see ToneController.


Parses speech to produce text. For more information, see SpeechRecognitionConnector.


Converts text to speech. For more information, see SpeechSynthesisConnector.
