XmlReturnReader::GetInitializer Method

This member overrides MimeFormatter::GetInitializer(LogicalMethodInfo), and more complete documentation might be available in that topic.

Returns an initializer for the specified method.

Namespace:  System.Web.Services.Protocols
Assembly:  System.Web.Services (in System.Web.Services.dll)

public:
virtual Object^ GetInitializer(
	LogicalMethodInfo^ methodInfo
) override

Parameters

methodInfo
Type: System.Web.Services.Protocols::LogicalMethodInfo
A LogicalMethodInfo that specifies the Web method for which the initializer is obtained.

Return Value

Type: System::Object
An initializer for the specified method.

An initializer is an object passed as a parameter to the Initialize method. For the XmlReturnReader class, the initializer is an XmlSerializer object for the return type of the Web method.

The GetInitializer method is invoked during service initialization. Later, at the time a response is processed, the initializer object is passed to the Initialize method of another XmlReturnReader instance. The other instance performs the actual reading.
