Runtime Extension Tutorials Overview

The runtime extension tutorials demonstrate a variety of ways in which the Decentralized Software Services (DSS) runtime can be extended such as writing custom transports.

Runtime Extension Tutorial 1 – Creating a Custom Transport

The DSS runtime comes with a set of built-in transports including Decentralized Software Services Protocol (DSSP) over Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), DSSP over Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), and DSSP over User Datagram Protocol (UDP). This tutorial shows how to write a custom transport that can be used for communication between DSS nodes.

Runtime Extension Tutorial 2 – Loading a Custom Transport

This tutorial shows how to load a custom transport using the DSS environment class.
