GeocodeResult.EntityType Property

A string containing the entity type name of the result. Get this property from the service response.


public string EntityType { set; get; }

The EntityType property can be used to further refine the geocode results that have been returned. For example, the geocode result "JFK Airport [John F. Kennedy International Airport] (airport), United States" has an entity type name "Airport". If this result was found in a set of ambiguous results, "Airport" entities could be displayed to the user.

The following table contains entity types that may be returned:

A building housing governmental offices or facilities

Aquarium
