You can use Microsoft Office SharePoint to deploy your Visual Studio Tools for Office document-level solutions to end users. When a user first opens the document, the solution automatically starts the installer.
This video shows you the basic process of using SharePoint to deploy solutions that are developed for the 2007 release of Microsoft Office. The following tasks are included in the process:
Running the Publish Wizard to publish directly to a network share.
Uploading the document to a SharePoint document library.
Installing the solution.
Trusting a network location so the solution runs directly from SharePoint.
