Custom form regions can enhance standard Microsoft Office Outlook forms, or even replace them.

This video shows you how to add a form region to contact items that automatically displays a map of the contact’s address. The following tasks are included in the process:

  • Designing a new form region in Visual Studio 2008.

  • Checking whether a contact item contains an address.

  • Sending an address to Live Search Maps and displaying the returned map in the form region.

The Visual Studio Tools for Office Help includes the code and the steps that are demonstrated in this video. See Walkthrough: Designing an Outlook Form Region.
