HttpResponseWrapper::TransmitFile Method (String, Int64, Int64)

Writes the specified part of a file to the HTTP response output stream, without buffering it in memory.

Parameters

filename
Type: System::String
The name of the file to write to the HTTP output stream.
offset
Type: System::Int64
The position in the file where writing starts.
length
Type: System::Int64
The number of bytes to write, starting at offset.

ExceptionCondition
ArgumentNullException

The offset parameter is less than zero.

The length parameter is less than -1.

- or -

The length parameter is greater than the file size minus offset.

PlatformNotSupportedException

The out-of-process worker request is not supported.

The response is not using an HttpWriter object.

Supported in: 4, 3.5 SP1

Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or later, Windows XP SP3, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core supported with SP1 or later), Windows Server 2003 SP2
