Redistributing MSXML 4.0 Overview

When you write applications that use MSXML 4.0, you might also need to redistribute MSXML along with your application. For more information, see Redistributing MSXML 4.0.

System Requirements

MSXML 4.0 is supported in Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, and Windows 2000

Note

It is recommended to upgrade to MSXML 6.0, since it has the latest security and performance improvements over earlier MSXML versions. If for whatever reason MSXML 4.0 must be used in your application, upgrade to MSXML 4.0 SP3, the only supported version.
