Create a duplicate of your project

In Microsoft Expression Blend 2, you can create copies of your projects and sites. These copies are exact replicas of the project or site that you are working on. They are saved to disk yet you do not leave the version that you are working on.

To create a duplicate of your project

  1. With a project open in Expression Blend 2, use one of the following methods:

    • If you are working on a Windows Presentation Foundation project, click Save Copy of Solution on the File menu. The Save Copy of Solution dialog box appears.

    • If you are working on a Microsoft Silverlight 1.0 project, click Save Copy of Site on the File menu. The Save Copy of Site dialog box appears.

    • Press CTRL+SHIFT+P.

    Note

    If you have not yet saved recent changes to your project, you will be prompted to first save before duplicating your project.

  2. Type a unique name for your project in the Name field.

  3. If you want to change the location of your project folder, click the Browse button, or enter a path in the Location field.

  4. Click OK.

    A duplicate of your project is created, and your original project is still open in Expression Blend 2.
