Conditional Formatting panel

You can use the Conditional Formatting panel to customize the formatting of XML data in a Data View. You can specify whether data is displayed or hidden and how it is displayed based on conditions that you set.

To create a condition, click Create, and then click one of the following options:

  • Show content   Changes the visibility of a selected HTML tag or data value that meets certain criteria.

  • Hide content   Changes the visibility of a selected HTML tag or data value that meets certain criteria.

  • Apply formatting   Applies a style to a selected HTML tag or data value that meets certain criteria.

Each choice opens the Condition Criteria dialog box, where you can specify the condition you want to cause the formatting change.

Existing conditions lists the conditions for which you specify formatting. Click a condition to modify or delete it.

Click Set Visibility to specify whether your formatting conditions are visible in Design view.
