Working with video and other media
In addition to being able to add pictures, sounds, and videos, you can add interactive media such as Silverlight, Deep Zoom, or Flash SWF files into a web page in Microsoft Expression Web by using either the Toolbox panel or the Insert menu. For information about the file formats supported by Windows Media Player, see Windows Media Player multimedia file formats .
You can also insert these and other types of media by typing code in the Code view of the web page. For information about the current web standards for adding media files to web pages, see the heading "Generic inclusion: the OBJECT element" in the topic Objects, Images, and Applets on the World Wide Web Consortium website.
Note
When you open a web page that contains media other than Flash SWF or Windows Media, you may receive a warning that the page contains an unknown or unsigned ActiveX control. For more information, see Security and ActiveX controls.
