Customize Design view colors and font style

You can change the way your pages appear in Design view to help differentiate between different types of content on your page. For example, you can change a background color of an item so that you can easily find it when looking at a page.

To customize Design view colors and font styles

  1. On the Tools menu, click Page Editor Options.

  2. In the Page Editor Options dialog box, on the Color Coding tab, select Design view settings.

  3. Under Display items, select the item you want to change. Select Item foreground, Item background, and Font style options.

  4. To reset color coding to the default, click Reset Defaults.
