Show or hide PHP formatting marks in Design view

You can display all the start and end PHP tags that appear in the source code of your web page in Design view. This is useful if you are working on a page and want to see where the PHP code appears without opening the page in a browser.

Note

When you show formatting marks in Design view, PHP tags appear as script blocks Cc295358.b7ffdf96-7e54-4ec3-aaa1-4f55a007b179(en-us,Expression.40).bmp.

To show or hide PHP tags in Design view

  1. With the page open in Design view, on the View menu, point to Formatting Marks, and select Show.

  2. On the View menu, point to Formatting Marks, and then click Script Blocks.
