Set the appearance of text

The Font dialog box enables you to set multiple font properties simultaneously for selected text, including color, size, font, and special effects, such as setting the case of the characters to small upper-case.

The Formatting and Common toolbars enable you to quickly set many of the same font properties, one property at a time. For information about adding a border, spatial padding, or a background (highlight) to text, see Set border, padding, and background properties.

The Page Properties dialog box enables you to set the default color of all text in an entire page.

  1. In Design view or Code view, in your web page, select the text that you want to format.

  2. On the Common or Formatting toolbar, click the formatting button you want or point at the button's arrow and select an option. For more information, see Formatting toolbar.

    Tip
