View a list of available data sources

The Data panel in Microsoft Expression Blend is where you work with sample data and live data.

To view a list of data sources in a document

  1. If you do not see the Data panel, on the Window menu, click Data.

  2. In the Data panel, view the list of data sources that are in the current document by expanding the Project and This document nodes.

You can add sample and live data to your project. You can also drag data items onto the artboard to create controls that will display the data, or drag data items onto existing controls and choose a property to which the data will be bound.

For more information, see Bind an object to data, Use the DataGrid control, and Use the TreeView control.
