The ProxyWebPartManager control exists for the particular scenario of declaring static connections in content pages when a WebPartManager control has already been declared in a master page. For a full description of the situations when you would want to use a ProxyWebPartManager control, see ProxyWebPartManager Class in the MSDN library.
Drag the ProxyWebPartManager control from the Toolbox panel to your page.
Many ASP.NET controls do not have a visual representation at run time. The control is always visible in Code view. If you do not see a representation of the control in Design view, click Visual Aids on the View menu and click ASP.NET Non Visual Controls.
For a full description of all ProxyWebPartManager control properties, see ProxyWebPartManager Properties in the MSDN library.
