Create a mirror reflections of objects

You can make a mirror reflection of selected objects in several different ways.

To use resize and rotation handles to create a mirror reflection

You can use the resize and rotation handles to create a mirror reflection of a selected object.

  1. Select one or more objects.

  2. Drag a corner or side handle to make the object smaller, and continue to drag. When you cross the opposite side or corner handle, the object will be reflected.

To use the Action Bar to create a mirror reflection

  1. Select one or more objects.

  2. On the left side of the Action Bar, click the registration point Cc294934.be82a820-b5c5-486c-a15a-092947c5fa3e(en-us,Expression.40).png icon to indicate which part of the selected object you want to stay stationary during mirroring. For example, if you want the center point of your object to remain in position as the rest of the object reflects, click the center point of the registration point icon.

  3. Change the W (width) or H (height) slider value to a negative number by dragging it or, if you want to type a numeric value, by clicking it.

To mirror objects by using the Transform menu

  1. Select one or more objects.

  2. Right-click, and then, from the Transform submenu, click Reflect Horizontal or Reflect Vertical.

Tip

To create a copy of an existing image and use it as a mirror image, select the image and, from the Edit menu, click Copy, and then click Paste in Front. You can use this copy to create a mirror reflection.
