Using QuickTime in Expression Media
If you do not already have Apple QuickTime installed on your system then, upon installing Microsoft Expression Media, a dialog box prompts you to install QuickTime. Expression Media will not automatically install QuickTime. You will need to approve the install. You may choose not to install it, however, some features require QuickTime in order to function.
Features that require QuickTime will display with a "QT" next to the command in the application menus. When you click the command, a dialog box appears, prompting you to install QuickTime. At this time, it is recommended that you install QuickTime to realize the full feature set of Expression Media.
The features that require QuickTime include the following:
Run Slide Show.
Convert Sound Files.
Convert Movie Files.
