8.3 name: A file name string restricted in length to 12 characters that includes a base name of up to eight characters, one character for a period, and up to three characters for a file name extension. For more information on 8.3 file names, see [MS-CIFS] section

88 object class: An object class as specified in the X.500 directory specification ([X501] section 8.4.3). An 88 object class can be instantiated as a new object, like a structural object class, and on an existing object, like an auxiliary object class.
