5 Security Considerations

This protocol introduces no security considerations beyond those applicable to DCOM interfaces, as specified in [MS-DCOM] section 5.<230>

Note For IDMNotify implementations, the DMRP server calls back into the client to setup the callback connection; in this instance the client implementing the IDMNotify interface acts like a server, and the DMRP server acts like a client; therefore the normal security considerations for a client to connect to a COM server are to be followed in this case.
