Editing a Context-Sensitive Topic

Context-sensitive topics are linked to every list and form in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and many dialog boxes. If you customize a form, you may want to edit the associated Help topic. Changes to context-sensitive pages are overwritten if you repair or reinstall Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Be sure to make a backup copy of all your changed files.

If you want to change a context-sensitive Help topic, you can edit the topic directly. All context-sensitive topics begin with ui_. For example, if you want to modify the page associated with the New Lead form in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, edit the ui_sf_lead_form.htm file.

To test your change, from the Microsoft Dynamics CRM form, click Help, and then click Help on this page. You will need to click Refresh in the Help window to see the changes. It may also be necessary to clear the browser cache by deleting temporary internet files in the browser.
