3.2.4.2 Protocol Shutdown

When the BITS Peer-Caching: Content Retrieval Protocol is halted, the server shuts down the server role of the BITS Peer-Caching: Peer Discovery Protocol as described in [MS-BPDP] section 3.1.6.1. The server stops processing new incoming messages and stops listening on the TCP port. The server will process all messages that are already received. The server shutdown MAY also result in the return of a failure response.
