For information on location codes to use for each target bid value, see Geographical Location Codes.
<xs:complexType name="LocationTarget"> <xs:sequence> <xs:element minOccurs="0" name="CityTarget" nillable="true" type="tns:CityTarget" /> <xs:element minOccurs="0" name="CountryTarget" nillable="true" type="tns:CountryTarget" /> <xs:element minOccurs="0" name="IntentOption" type="tns:IntentOption" /> <xs:element minOccurs="0" name="MetroAreaTarget" nillable="true" type="tns:MetroAreaTarget" /> <xs:element minOccurs="0" name="PostalCodeTarget" nillable="true" type="tns:PostalCodeTarget" /> <xs:element minOccurs="0" name="RadiusTarget" nillable="true" type="tns:RadiusTarget" /> <xs:element minOccurs="0" name="StateTarget" nillable="true" type="tns:StateTarget" /> </xs:sequence> </xs:complexType>
The cities to target.
The countries/regions to target.
Determines whether the audience must be physically located in the targeted location in order for the ad to display. The default value is PeopleInOrSearchingForOrViewingPages.
To show ads to people in, searching for, or viewing pages about your targeted location, the value should be PeopleInOrSearchingForOrViewingPages.
To show ads to people in your targeted location, set the value to PeopleIn.
You may exclude one or more locations by setting the corresponding IsExcluded element to true within the CityTargetBid, CountryTargetBid, MetroAreaTargetBid, PostalCodeTargetBid, and StateTargetBid objects.
If you are excluding all specified locations within this location target, please note the following.
- Your intent setting will be ignored for ad delivery.
- When retrieving the target, this element will be null.
- The value that you set for this element will be stored by Bing Ads.
If you add or update this target to include one or more locations, the most recent intent option will be honored by delivery and returned when retrieving the target.
The metropolitan areas to target.
The postal codes to target.
The format must be specified as Postal, State Country. For example to target postal code 98052 in the state of Washington, you would specify "98052, WA US".
Note: To get postal code target bids, you must specify the LocationTargetVersion element as 2 or Latest when calling GetTargetsByIds.
The geographical locations to target.
The states, provinces, or territories to target.
The maximum combination of city, country, metro area, and state targets that you can specify in a LocationTarget object is 10,000. For example, you may specify a maximum of 10,000 city targets or 1,000 state targets and 9,000 city targets.
This limit applies whether the geographic targets are included or excluded. In other words, the target object limit of 10,000 applies to all city, country, metro area, and state targets regardless of whether the value for each corresponding target bid's IsExcluded element is set to true or false.
The maximum number of radius targets allowed per target is 2,000.
