Represents a mechanism for attaching notes to records. A note can be attached to multiple objects, including other notes.

The annotation class inherits from BusinessEntity. It exposes the following members.

annotationInitializes a new instance of the annotation class.

annotationidGets or sets the ID of the note.
createdbyGets the ID of the user who created the note.
createdonGets the date and time when the note was created.
createdonbehalfbyGets the ID of the proxy user who created the note record.
documentbodyGets or sets the contents of the note's attachment.
filenameGets or sets the file name of the note.
filesizeGets the file size of the note.
importsequencenumberGets or sets the ID of the data import or data migration that created this record.
isdocumentGets or sets a value that indicates whether the note is an attachment.
langidGets or sets the language identifier for the note.
mimetypeGets or sets the MIME type of the note's attachment.
modifiedbyGets the ID of the user who last modified the note.
modifiedonGets the date and time when the note was last modified.
modifiedonbehalfbyGets the ID of the proxy user who last modified the note.
notetextGets or sets the text of the note.
objectidGets or sets the ID of the object with which the note is associated.
objecttypecodeGets or sets the type of entity with which the note is associated.
overriddencreatedonGets or sets the date and time that the record was migrated.
owneridGets or sets the ID of the user or team that owns the note.
owningbusinessunitGets the ID of the business unit that owns the note.
stepidGets or sets the workflow step id associated with the note.
subjectGets or sets the subject associated with the note.


When creating an annotation, both annotation.objectid and annotation.objecttypecode properties must be set.

This table lists only the attributes for a default system. For more information about the entities and attributes in your organization, see the Customization area of the Web application. To view this information in the Customization area, in the Navigation Pane, click Settings, click Customization, and then click Customize Entities. Change the view to see non-customizable entities.

This entity is not customizable.
