Walkthrough: Building the IDCRL Wrapper Code for Use with CRM Online

This walkthrough demonstrates how to build the IDCRL wrapper code that simplifies your interaction with Windows Live for authentication on Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online.

During this walkthrough you will learn how to do the following:

  • Use Visual Studio 2005 to build the IDCRL wrapper code.


In order to complete this walkthrough, you will need the following:

  • Visual Studio 2005
  • Access to the SDK helper code: SDK\Server\Helpers\CS\IdCrlWrapper

Building the Wrapper Code

The following procedures explain how to build the IdCrl wrapper code provided with the SDK.

To build the wrapper code

  1. Navigate to the SDK Helper code found at:
  2. Open the file IdCrlWrapper.sln
  3. On the Build menu, click Build Solution.
  4. Close Visual Studio 2005.

To define required registry settings

  1. In Windows Explorer, open the environments.reg file.

To copy the assemblies to the SDK Bin folder

  1. Copy the new assembly from SDK\Server\Helpers\CS\IdCrlWrapper\bin\Debug\IdCrlWrapper.dll to the SDK\Bin folder.

The IdCrl wrapper is ready for use with Windows Live authentication.
