Customizations File Reference

The customizations.xml is the product of exporting customizations from Microsoft Dynamics CRM. The customizations.xml file contains all or selected portions of the customizations and configurations for your system. These may include:

  • Entity definitions and customizations
  • Security Roles
  • Workflows
  • Templates
  • Client extension controls (ISV.Config)
  • Relationship Roles
  • Application Navigation (SiteMap)
  • Entity attribute mapping
  • Entity Relationships
  • Organization Settings
  • Installed languages

The customizations.xml file is exported as a compressed customizations.zip file. The XML file must be extracted from the ZIP format before it can be edited or imported.
