Letter Entity Capabilities

This entity represents an activity that tracks the delivery of a letter. The activity can contain the electronic copy of the letter.

The class for this entity is letter. For letters, you can use the messages listed in the following table with the Execute method.

CreateUse this message to create a letter.

The information that is used to create the entity instance is specified in the TargetCreateLetter class.

You can also call the Create method.

DeleteUse this message to delete a letter.

The entity instance to delete is specified in the TargetDeleteLetter class.

You can also call the Delete method.

HandleUse this message to handle a letter that is in a queue.

The entity instance to retrieve is specified in the TargetQueuedLetter class.

RetrieveUse this message to retrieve a letter.

The entity instance to retrieve is specified in the TargetRetrieveLetter class.

You can also call the Retrieve method.

RetrieveMultipleUse this message to retrieve a collection of letters.

The query expression that describes the entity instances to retrieve is specified in the Query property of this request.

You can also call the RetrieveMultiple method.

RetrievePrincipalAccesssUse this message to retrieve the access that the specified security principal (user or team) has to a letter.

The entity instance to retrieve is specified in the TargetOwnedLetter class.

RouteUse this message to route a letter to a queue.

The entity instance to retrieve is specified in the TargetQueuedLetter class.

SetStateDynamicEntityUse this message to set the state of a letter using a DynamicEntity instance.

The possible states are defined in the LetterState enumeration.

SetStateLetterUse this message to set the state of a letter.

The possible states are defined in the LetterState enumeration.

UpdateUse this message to update a letter.

The entity instance to update is specified in the TargetUpdateLetter class.
