The following section describes where you can integrate custom menus, side-tabs, and buttons into the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Web application and the Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook

Global Menu Bar Outlook

You can add menus between the Tools menu and the Advanced Find button menu in the global menu bar of the Web application. These menus appear between the CRM and Help menus in Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Microsoft Office Outlook. For more information, see Root MenuBar CustomMenus Menu MenuItem.

Global Toolbar Buttons Outlook

You can add buttons to the global toolbar. In the Web application these appear to the left of Advanced Find. In Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Microsoft Office Outlook they appear to the right of the Set Regarding button. For more information, see Root Toolbar Button.

Detail Form Menu Bar

You can add menus to the left of the Actions menu for all customizable and custom entities. These appear in the same place in both the Web application and Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Microsoft Office Outlook. For more information, see Entities, Entity, Menubar, CustomMenus, Menu, MenuItem.

You can add buttons to the toolbar on detail forms. These appear in the same place in both the Web application and Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Microsoft Office Outlook. For more information, see Entities Entity Toolbar Button.

Detail Form Navigation Pane

Detail form Navigation Pane

You can add side tabs to the navigation pane (on the left) in detail forms. The side tabs are configured with a URL to open in the main pane of the detail form. These appear in the same place in both the Web application and Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Microsoft Office Outlook. For more information, see Entities, Entity, NavBar, and NavBarItem.

Entity Grid

You can add buttons to the left of the More Actions menu and add menu items to the More Actions menu in grid views. These appear in the same place in both the Web application and Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Microsoft Office Outlook.
