Motor Service

The motors can be controlled individually or as a drive pair. Encoders are built in to both the motor and drive devices, and identify how many degrees the motor has turned (360 degrees = 1 rotation).

Configuration

Please refer to Device Services for the standard configuration properties.

ReversePolarity

ReversePolarity indicates the direction (polarity) of the motor. Enabling this option (or setting it to true) reverses the direction of the motor.

MotorPort

Identify the port (A,B,C) to which the motor has been plugged in. If you configure the motor with AnyMotorPort, the motor service will be attached to the first available motor port. This can be useful when starting motors from the Control Panel service.

PollingFrequencyMs

This property specifies the frequency by which the encoders are polled:

ValueDescription

0

Default polling rate

-1

Encoder polling is disabled

>0

The requested polling rate in milliseconds
