Notes About Using the Tuning Tools Database

This content is no longer actively maintained. It is provided as is, for anyone who may still be using these technologies, with no warranties or claims of accuracy with regard to the most recent product version or service release.

Using the Speech Server tuning tools database in a safe and productive manner requires understanding of some possible issues.

Changing the Schema

Adjusting the tables and columns in the existing tables and views stops Analytics and Tuning Studio from recognizing the database as a valid database and it is no longer able to query against it. To make additions to the database, make them as new tables and views.

Adding Custom Data

Store custom data in a table that is added to the Analytics and Tuning Studio schema. Custom data is information outside of the scope of the data logged by the speech application. Do not create new columns on existing tables. If new columns are added to the tables used by Analytics and Tuning Studio, the views no longer function and further imports of log data into the database fail.
