As with the small enterprise topology, multiple clones are used to deploy Speech Server. However, in the large topology enterprise, Speech Server is scaled out onto many computers and deployed across an enterprise network.

To run a large enterprise topology, your computers running Speech Server should be configured with the following minimum requirements:

  • Applications: 1???10
  • Channels: Up to 100
  • CPU: 64-bit two-way 2.4 GHz
  • RAM: 4 GB
  • Hard disk space (installation): 1.7 GB
  • Hard disk space (logging): 100 GB or additional RAID
  • Network: 1 GB

This topology includes a separate operations server running Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM). In addition, there is a file server into which event trace logs (ETL) and audio files are transferred, a dedicated computer for a SQL??Server database, and separate computers to handle tuning and reporting.
