Performance counters provide numerical information about the current state of programs and devices installed on your system. You can observe performance counters in real time to determine the relative health of your system or review logged counter data to observe trends over time.

To monitor and track Speech Server using performance counters, you can use the following Speech Server performance objects:

  • SpeechService
  • Telephony Interface Manager Connector (if installed)

Each performance object contains a group of counters for tracking Speech Server activity and monitoring various aspects of the system.

For more information about using System Monitor and Performance Logs and Alerts, see Performance console Help or Monitoring Performance at the Microsoft Windows Server TechCenter.
