Exporting rules

In Planning Business Modeler, you can export business rules from a model and save them to an XML file in a location you specify.

To export a business rule to an XML file

  1. In the Workspace Browser pane, click Models.

  2. In the model site workspace, click a row in the table to open a model.

  3. Click the Business Rules tab.

  4. In the Business Rules workspace, select the rules you want to export, and then click Export Rules in the Model Tasks pane. The Export Rule(s) dialog box is displayed.

    On the Actions menu, click Export Rules.

Note

To export all rules, you do not need to select every rule individually.

  1. In the File name text box, type a name for the export file.

  2. Click Browse, and then specify a location for the export file.

  3. Click Export selected rule set or rule to export the individual rules you selected.

    - or -

    Click Export all rules in this model to export all rules in the model.

  4. Click OK to export the files.
