IMessengerPrivate Interface

The IMessengerPrivate interface enables an application to add contacts to a Communicator instance, without going through the Add a Contact user interface, and to receive notification of events fired by a Communicator.

The interface ID is 7C95459B-C8E7-4605-B641-45EB06866659 (IID_IMessengerPrivate).

Adds a contact to the contact list with no prompting or notification UI.

Not scriptable.

IMessengerPrivate::EnableAlertEvents Method

Not implemented.

This interface contains no properties.

This interface contains no subclasses.

IMessengerPrivate enables an application to add Office Communicator contacts programmatically. IMessengerPrivate also provides a mechanism for a Communicator client application to receive notifications from the DMessengerPrivateEvents::OnAlertReceived event.




Requires Microsoft DirectX 9.0, C Runtime libraries (msvcm80.dll) on Microsoft Windows© Vista, Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 1 (SP1) or later, or Microsoft Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4 (SP4). Any Communicator-imposed restrictions apply. .


Requires Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007, AV MCU (for Media Support), Media Relay (for NAT/Firewall traversal) on Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007.
