MetadataWorkspace.TryGetEntityContainer Method (String, DataSpace, EntityContainer%)

Returns an EntityContainer object by using the specified entity container name and the data model.

Assembly:  System.Data.Entity (in System.Data.Entity.dll)

public bool TryGetEntityContainer(
	string name,
	DataSpace dataSpace,
	out EntityContainer entityContainer


Type: System.String
The name of the entity container.
Type: System.Data.Metadata.Edm.DataSpace
The conceptual model on which the entity container is searched.
Type: System.Data.Metadata.Edm.EntityContainer%
When this method returns, contains an EntityContainer object. If there is no entity container, this output parameter contains null; otherwise, it returns the first entity container.

Return Value

Type: System.Boolean
true if there is an entity container that matches the search criteria; otherwise, false.
