Data Mining Designers and Dialog Boxes
Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services provides design tools that you can use to create, view, test, and create predictions from data mining models.
The following table lists the reference topics for the data mining designers and tools in Analysis Services.
Use the tools in SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) to define a new mining structure and associated mining models.
Use the custom viewers provided in both SQL Server Management Studio and SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) to browse the completed model and better understand the patterns in the data.
Use the accuracy chart tools, such as lift charts, the classification matrix, and cross-validation, to assess data mining models and sets of data used for training. All accuracy tools are available in both SQL Server Management Studio and SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) .
Use the Prediction Query Builder provided in both SQL Server Management Studio and SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) to
Change the properties of the mining structure or mining model to affect the way that data is handled, to add modeling flags, or edit metadata.
Use the DMX Query Editor to design and execute statements written in the Data Mining Extensions (DMX) language.
