Step 2: Import the Component to the Database (Windows Embedded Standard 2009)

After creating the Hello World component, you use Component Database Manager to import it into the component database.

  1. Run Component Database Manager.
  2. Select the Database tab, and then choose Import.
  3. Choose the button to the right of the SLD file box to locate the Tutorial folder.
  4. Choose the HelloWorld SLD file, and then choose Open.
  5. In the Repository root list, choose the available repository (\\<Computer name>\Repositories).
  6. Verify that the Copy repository files to repository root check box is checked.
    This imports all the information from the .sld file you created in step 1.
  7. Choose Import.
  8. After the import operation has completed, choose Close.
  9. Choose Close.

You are now ready to create to a new configuration in Target Designer.
